Ranch Clearing
Many ranches are overgrown with Cedar or Mesquite. This overgrowth
dramatically reduces the usability of the land. In the case of cedar
it also robs your property of water that could be much better used.
Valuable oak and other hardwood trees become invisible and are
sometimes actually choked out by these overgrowths.
Removing the invasive trees will open up you land for productive use.
Hunting will be improved by reducing hiding opportunities in the
dense overgrowth. Your vistas and panorama will be improved when you
can see the land and the beautiful hardwoods you may not even know
you have.
Lane Clearing
When you have large tracts of fairly dense overgrowth one approach to
beginning to expose the land is to cut lanes. These can be as narrow
as twenty or twenty-five feet wide or as wide as you desire. They
can be spaced twenty-five to fifty yards apart to provide you
walking and driving access to your entire property and visibility to
see almost everywhere. Because you may be clearing quite a bit less
than half of the land the cost is dramatically reduced.
Clearing lanes is made practical by R Cedar’s timber mulchers. All trees
and brush are reduced to mulch right where they stand. There is no
need to transport the removed brush anywhere as it simply becomes a
wonderful bed of mulch that grasses can easily grow through and that
will help to retain moisture rather than waste it.
Over time you can proceed to cut additional lanes, widen the lanes you
have already cut or complete the land clearing to whatever degree
you choose. There is no loss of efficiency or cost penalty for
proceeding in this manner.
Utility Right of
Way Clearing
Rights-of-way for pipelines, electricity and other utilities must remain
clear of significant growth of brush and trees to protect the
equipment and provide useful access for inspection, repairs and
maintenance.
Mulching the brush and trees in place with R Cedar’s timber mulchers is
fast and cost effective.
Land Development
Property development often begins with clearing unwanted trees and brush.
Depending on the type of development it may be necessary to clear
everything or to selectively preserve valuable trees. In either case
R Cedar can tailor its service to meet your specific requirement in
an efficient and cost effective manner.
Pile Mulching
Many past clearing projects have begun with bull dozers or snippers
making large piles of trees and brush. Often, the plan was to burn
the piles but extremely dry weather has foiled those plans.
R Cedar can quickly eliminate those piles in any weather. Sometimes they
can be mulched in place or sometimes it is more effective to pull
them apart with grapples and then mulch them. In either case the
result is a bed of clean mulch rather than scorched earth. And,
there’s no risk to nearby buildings or valuable plants and animals.
Horse Trails
R Cedar can clear horse trails through the thickest brush and leave them
immediately ready to ride. You gain access to parts of your property
that you’ve probably never been on before. And, because the amount
of land that must be cleared is relatively small you can open up a
lot of trails for a small investment.
Road-side
Clearing
Clearing and cleaning up your roadside can dramatically improve that
appearance of your property. Leave behind only that attractive
hardwoods and turn the rest to mulch. Your “curb appeal” will sky
rocket.
Dead Oak Removal
Many of us have had to face the devastation of Oak Wilt. The loss of
these beautiful trees is a tragedy that is only made worse by having
to look at the ugly corpses left behind. With our Timber Mulchers we
can turn these ugly relics into beneficial mulch quickly and cost
effectively to restore the attractive view of your property.
Shooting Lanes
Large areas of Cedar or other brush are the ultimate hideout for the
most prized game animals. While the best approach might be to remove
all the Cedar and brush and leave behind only the attractive
hardwoods the investment may be higher that you’d choose. One great
alternative is to cut shooting lanes. These can be placed 25 to 50
yards apart to give you driving access to the entire area.
The cost of clearing lanes is significantly lower that clearing the whole
area but you get many of the benefits. You will be able to get close
enough to see and to move the animals.
You can also open up better shooting lanes near established hunting
blinds to give you clean sight access to larger areas. You can also
create great new locations for blinds based on existing runs.
Habitat
Restoration
Cedar, brush, dead trees and weeds are not the best habitat for most
wildlife. Begin the restoration by removing the invasive species and
cleaning out the dead stuff. With a healthy layer of mulch left
behind you’re ready to watch the beneficial habitat reestablish
itself or the help it along with selective planting.
Survey, Fence
and Utility Clearing
Surveying, fence building and installation or maintenance of utilities
all require a clear access to the intended location. R Cedar and
clear the land needed for these activities quickly and cost
effectively. We can clear as little or as much as you need. By
mulching everything in the desired area even very long, very narrow
lanes are possible because there’s no need to haul anything out.
Walking Trails
If your property contains large areas or dense Cedar or brush it’s almost
certain that you’ve never even been able to walk the land to see
what’s there. R Cedar can clear walking trails through that dense
undergrowth and give you immediate access to your land. By mulching
everything of the trail R Cedar can create long, narrow paths of any
length. The mulch provides an immediately usable walking surface.
You can place the trails where you want them and make as few or as
many as you need. Because you’re only clearing a small portion of
the area your costs are kept low but you still gain access to the
land.
Vegetation
Control
Once your vegetation and brush get out of control it’s almost impossible
to regain control manually. R Cedar can quickly bring the vegetation
back under control and put you back in touch with your property and
the desirable plants growing there.
Site Preparation
Preparing a site for construction begins with getting rid of the
vegetation that is either in the way or unwanted. R Cedar can clear
the site as completely or as selectively as needed by the intended
development. We get in, get the job done and get out so you can get
on with your project. |
